Volunteer

Please join us in welcoming The Wall That Heals to our community November 13th - 16th by volunteering to honor all who have served. 

Volunteer training will take place on Wednesday, November 12th at 6:00 p.m. Attendance is strongly encouraged. 

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time.  All volunteers must be prepared for weather conditions. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear the days they volunteer.

Volunteer Shift Descriptions:

Assist Visitors at The Wall: Greet and assist visitors with finding names, viewing photos, and name rubbings.  Listen and provide support when needed.

Mobile Education Center Volunteer: Talk about artifacts, in Memory Honorees, and Hometown Heroes.

Visitor Tent (seated position:) Assist with finding names on website or name directory. Monitor trifold inventory. Answer visitor questions to best of ability. 

Direct Visitors (floater): Greet and assist visitors with information.  Direct to The Wall, Mobile Education Center, and Visitors Tent.  Assist anyone who needs help with mobility. Fill in other positions as needed.
